Kruger Park Packages from Tembo Guest Lodge, Hazyview
Book one package and your Kruger trip is handled. A room at Tembo Guest Lodge in Hazyview, guided game drives in an open safari vehicle, Kruger park fees, and pickup from the lodge for every drive all come in a single booking. The drives are run by Africa Moja Tours and Safaris, the licensed safari operator that partners with Tembo. You arrive, you check in, and the lodge takes it from there.
This page covers the three multi-day packages, the five standalone day tours for guests who want activities without a bundled stay, and how gate transfers work so you do not need a rental car.

Day Tours for Guests with Their Own Accommodation
If you already have accommodation sorted, or you want to add a single activity rather than a bundled stay, the same operator runs five day tours that depart from Tembo Guest Lodge:
| Tour | Duration | Departs | Vehicle | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Full-Day Kruger Safari | ~10 to 11 hours | 05:00 to 05:30 | Open-sided game viewer with roof canopy | Registered Kruger NP guide. Meals at own expense at Skukuza or Lower Sabie. |
| Half-Day Morning Safari | ~4 hours | 05:30 | Open 4×4 safari vehicle | Registered guide. Best for early-morning activity window. |
| Half-Day Afternoon Safari | ~4 to 6 hours | 13:00 | Open safari vehicle | FGASA-accredited guide. Afternoon and early-evening sightings. |
| Kruger Night Game Drive | ~3.5 hours total | Pickup 18:45; drive 20:00 to 22:00 | SANParks open vehicle with spotlights | Professional SANParks field ranger. Departs via Kruger Gate, not Phabeni. |
| Full-Day Panorama Route Tour | ~9 hours | 08:00 | Air-conditioned vehicle (not open safari) | Local guide. Max 7 guests. Blyde River Canyon, God’s Window, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, waterfalls. Entrance fees included. Lunch in Graskop at own account. |
Every day tour includes pickup and drop-off at Tembo Guest Lodge, bottled water, and the relevant Kruger or attraction entrance fees. Alcoholic drinks are not included.
Gate Transfers Are Handled for You
Tembo Guest Lodge sits roughly 9 km from Phabeni Gate, one of Kruger’s closest entry points. Every multi-day package includes return transfers between the lodge and Phabeni Gate, and every day tour includes pickup and drop-off at the lodge itself. You do not need a rental car to do a full Kruger safari from Tembo.
One exception worth noting: the Kruger Night Game Drive departs via Kruger Gate instead of Phabeni. SANParks runs night drives from Kruger Gate specifically, so the transfer for that tour is longer than a standard day drive. The tour includes the return transfer.
Guides and Vehicles
Africa Moja Tours and Safaris operates every game drive on every package and day tour listed above. The operator is a registered Kruger National Park safari partner. Depending on the tour, the guide on the day is:
| Tour | Guide Type |
|---|---|
| Full-Day and Half-Day Morning Safari | Registered Kruger NP guide |
| Half-Day Afternoon Safari | FGASA-accredited guide |
| Kruger Night Game Drive | SANParks field ranger |
| Panorama Route Tour | Professional local guide |
| Multi-day packages | English-speaking safari guide (German or Portuguese optional on 4-day) |
Game drives inside Kruger use open safari vehicles for full 360-degree sightings and clear photography. The Panorama Route tour is a scenic road trip, so it uses an air-conditioned vehicle with a maximum of 7 guests.
